Top 5 Wines of the Week

As seen in Drink Me Magazine

2012 Chateau Musar  –  “Jeune” White Blend –   Bekaa Valley, Lebanon

A captivating creation from the Middle East, it is plentiful in exotic perfumes of apple peel, apricot, mandarin, and pineapple.  Essences of parsley, anise, and kumquat seep onto the palate while some nice acidity adds an uplifting touch. – JA

Riesling Zobinger Heiligenstein, Willi Brundlmayer

2011 Weingut Br
ündlmayer – Riesling Zöbinger Heiligenstein Lyra – Kamptal, Austria

As if Prince Harry was in a bottle, it’s regal with a total wild side. Polished characteristics of seashells, key lime, and mint leaf expose its rebellious side with zippy acidity and flavors of cumquat, aniseed, and smoky minerality. – JA

2009 Vérité   –  ‘La Muse’ Red Blend  –   Sonoma County, California

This, my friends, is a knockout.  Virtually seamless across the board with a voluptuous mouthfeel, ripe velvety tannin, and bright acidity.  The dynamic flavor pallet includes black cherry, redcurrant, menthol tobacco, nutmeg, graphite, and a seductive finish of mocha.  Bravo!  – JA

2010 – Neigh – Apple Ice WineQuébec, CanadaNeige Premiere Apple Ice Wine

A true winter warmer with a contagious jubilance, the glistening amber color shares its story with aromas of warm cinnamon apple sauce, poached pear, nutmeg, and vanilla flower. A festive wine with bright lingering acidity to keep it classy. – JA

2012 Capichera – Lintori Vermentino – Sardinia, Italy

Sensually perfumed with hints of nectarine, clementine orange, and wild grasses, this rich and zesty wine further expresses its backbone of white pepper, minerality, and bitter grapefruit on the finish. It’s everything you want it to be. – JA
